Wedding Enclosure Cards

06 November 2015 | by Sinead O'Toole

Enclosure cards are a great way of providing your guests with additional details about your wedding day. Whether it's directions to your wedding venue, accommodation and parking info, gift ideas, reception details or a poem, a wedding enclosure card is ideal!

If you're unsure of what to put on your enclosure card, I've listed some wording ideas below..

Accommodation Card - If your guests are traveling a long distance for your wedding, it would be a nice gesture to include a hotel which is convenient and affordable for them to stay. When placing this information on your enclosure card, be sure to include the hotel name, address, phone number and website. If your hotel provides you with a discount code for guests, be sure to include this as well.

Gift CardGift cards are useful if you would simply like to ask your guests for money in your wishing well or a donation to charity. If you set up a gift list, you will need to provide the URL, reference number and password if applicable. If you prefer no gifts, you can word your card to say something like "your presence at our wedding is the only gift we need".

Directions Card - If including a map, always be sure to include written directions as well. Also keep in mind that guests will be coming from all directions. Provide parking details if necessary.

Reception Card - If your ceremony and reception are held in different locations, adding a Reception enclosure card with the venue name and address will help direct your guests.

Additional Wedding Events Card - For those guests you would like to join you for other weekend activities, you can choose to provide an enclosure card letting them know about upcoming events, ex; post wedding lunches or dinner parties.
