When to send out your Save the Dates and Wedding Invitations?

With wedding season approaching, many couples are now getting on the ball with ordering their stationery. The timing of sending out invitations is currently one of the most searched topics on Google.

We have shared the most ideal timeline for sending out your Save the Dates and Invitations. Although the decision is ultimately yours, please keep in mind that providing ample notice to your guests is so important and should never be left last minute.

The ideal time to send out save the dates is between 8-12 months before your wedding. This allows your guests plenty of time to make preparations.

As soon as you have secured your wedding venue and date, you should send your save the dates without delay.

If you haven't sent save the dates, wedding invitations should be sent out 4-6 months before your wedding date.

If you have sent save the dates, wedding invitations should be sent out 2-3 months before your wedding date.

Under no circumstances should wedding invites be posted with less than six weeks until the wedding, especially for guests who need to travel or book leave from work.
